Kyrgyzstan approves cybersecurity strategy for 2019-2023

BISHKEK -- Kyrgyz Prime Minister Muhammedkaly Abylgaziyev approved the nation's Cybersecurity Strategy for 2019-2023 and a plan for its implementation, 24.kg reported Tuesday (August 6).

The strategy covers the creation of computer incident response teams to ensure the cybersecurity of banking, telecom and other service infrastructure, as well the creation of centres for monitoring and responding to cyber threats.

The document also calls for a legal and methodological foundation for combating computer crimes and for the creation of a national information security system.

Another goal is building international co-operation and strengthening human capacities in cybersecurity.
