Tajik president, Kyrgyz PM confer on co-operation

VARZOB DISTRICT, Tajikistan -- Tajik President Emomali Rahmon and Kyrgyz Prime Minister Sooronbai Jeenbekov Thursday (July 6) conferred in Varzob District about aspects of inter-governmental co-operation, according to Rahmon's press office.

Jeenbekov was in the area for a summit for leaders of countries involved in the Central Asia South Asia Electricity Transmission and Trade Project (CASA-1000).

Topics included the importance of implementing CASA-1000 as soon as possible and of co-operating to stabilise Afghanistan and to fight terrorism.
