ASTANA -- Kazakhstani Interior Minister Kalmunkhabet Kasymov Tuesday (July 25) discussed with parliament coming changes to anti-drug laws, Kazinform reported.
Officials have decided that the fastest way to prohibit certain synthetic drugs is to use a cabinet resolution (rather than go through parliament), he said, adding that the country's Constitutional Council has ruled that the resolution will not violate the constitution or citizens' rights.
Speed is necessary because new forms of synthetic drugs keep appearing, he said.
